What do i do if my video is longer than my time line in adobe after effects?

ok so i am new to Adobe After Effects and i have imported my footage gotten it on the time line but at the end of the time line there is a stop maker and my video cant pass 30 secs. i want to get rid of this so i can make a full length movie. how do i do it?
