How does a dragster reach 0 to 100 mph with out breaking.?
I know that top fuel drag racers can go from 0 to 100 in .8 secs but I don't think that's right. To go from 0 to 100 secs flat would make the car break apart they would have to be using steel or the metal to make fighter jets. When I look at the cars racing in drag races that does not look like 0 to 100 in a sec when the tires start spinning. The force on the drivers (who aren't trained like USAF to handle g-force) should have some physical problems under that stress put on them. My dad and I are fighting over this and he says yes I say "In one sec flat I don't think so?!" he then said they could and count like this one one thousand till he said four one thousand. One one thousand is like a second and when I see the drivers hit the gas pedal and go 1 second has gone by and not even 100 mph has been hit. I think when they brag about hitting something from 0 to whatever top speed they got it should say it. The closest vehicle that makes me believe that it can go from 0 to a high speed is a Ducati motorcycle. So I need some proof to see a "real" dragster on video with a guy holding a track stop watch with a speed reader that police use and sync them when the dragster starts to "move" not start screeching tires but move.
